Since Kindergarten we have known that my son is a genius, especially in math and science. We also knew he had some issues with attention. It becamse a major issue in middle school. He became angry and frustrated with his grades, and his teachers reported he was having trouble making friends. Reluctantly we tried medication. The one dose he took landed him in the mergency room. That was it, no more meds for us.
We sought out alternatives. We discovered an exercised program based on Dr Frank Belgua's research. The program changed his life. He is now a high school student, excelling in athletics and in his honors math and science classes, and he is happy!
Dr Belgau's program, The Learning Breakthrough Program, helps kids with all sorts of learning difficulties succeed. What is ore amazing, the program helps all kids do better in school and in sports. Christian is lucky to have you. Learning Breakthrough will definately help Christian if you and he make the investment of time to do the exercises. The good news is the exercises can be fun, and allow for you and he to be creative.
Let me give you a tip that could help. A change in diet helped my son a ton. Eating whole grain foods helps. The whole grains take longer to digest, this helped my son as he used to get very fidgety and distracted when he got hungry. Wonder Bread sells two bread products that are whole grain and taste like white bread, whole grain for white bread fans and whole grain white. I prefer whole grain for white bread fans. He might be a little resistant at first, but if it is his only choice he'll adapt. Whole graisn are healthier for you too.
My son also began eating a breakfast full of protien instead of sugary, processed cereal. When he first heard this he was not pleased, until I explained that he could now have meatballs for breakfast. He loves it. One of Chris' favorite breakfasts is Whole grain Lean Pockets steak and cheese.
