I have 2 kids, and I run an organization that deals with bullying and harrassment. My son was bullied in a school here, and I suffered PTSD due to 10 years of constant bullying everyday in school. I am an advocate, and fight to improve schools in Iowa. Right now, I am working on a support group for parents and children in the community. My website is www.caabi.org. It seems like a constant updating process, and their is a lot of information I studied in college to update on there. I believe that atmospheres in the schools need to change, and I believe that can happen. Some administrations are diligent in not wanting to change, and some are receptive to it. Around the country this attitude is changing little by little. I was at one time a person that almost did the unthinkable in school, but I survived and chose to get help for myself instead. The school I attended is now aware of it, and have tackled this issue head on. Since they did that I dropped a 10 million dollar lawsuit. Now, I counsel others to do the same, as their is so much more to the world than violence. There is a part of life that they don't even know yet, and wonderful experiences to come. I have helped people in the community find a strength, and the power to listen to their children, and help them resolve conflicts. Well...That's a little about me. :)
